This shows the Heel-Toe addition with a 2-ring pedal to
match the our 2-Ring Gearshift dress-up for the stock Honda gearshift.
Part# HTAM & Part# HT2AM
Please note this 2-Ring will NOT fit the stock Toe shifter
as the internal hole is much smaller and it has no CNC-machining on it. Click here to see

match the our 3-Ring Gearshift dress-up.
Part# HTAM plus Part# HT3AM
Please note this 3-Ring will NOT fit the stock Toe shifter
as the internal hole is much smaller and it has no CNC-machining on it. Click here to see

We have had some inquiries from guys with floorboards asking
if the heel-toe will work with them. The answer is probably. This view shows the heel-shifter in the "rest" position
where it spends most of it's time while riding.
Although a little dark and hard to see, the measurement
shown is from the gearshift mounting pivot bolt. The Heel-toe rotates around this point so that should give you
an idea if there will be enough room for this to work with your floorboards.
If you are including the the 2 or 3-ring dress up, they are 1" diameter so you will need to reduce that dimension
by another half-inch plus a little clearance.
Providing there is sufficient room for the heel-shifter to move down behind the floorboard then
this should work OK.
In the TOE-down-shifting position,
the arm of the heel-shifter almost touches the engine casing.
In the HEEL-down-shifting position,
the arm of the heel-shifter almost touches the foot peg-plate mounting post welded on the frame. |
| |
|
| |
To assist with the installation, this is what the assembled
Honda stock shifter and the Heel-toe shifter should look like when ready to reinstall the assembly on the motorcycle.
The stainless steel bolt and nut are used to adjust the position of the Heel-toe lever evenly between the frame
and the engine casing.

Installation
Note!
We have had a small number of reports that the stock Honda gearshift has some pretty excessive lumps of weld in
the vicinity of the hood section of the Heel-toe shifter. (click
here for picture)
If the welding interferes with the mounting
of the Heel-toe shifter, it may require some filing (or careful grinding) of the hood section to clear the excessive
welding. The filing should not be obvious when the installation is complete.

Good Vibrations...
|
|
These bikes vibrate really freely so a thread lock agent
is not a luxury, it should be mandatory every time you assemble things on any Motorcycle.
This bottle will last for a long time considering it only
takes a drop on the threads to make it stick. We can't tell you how many drops there are in the bottle, but it
MUST be a LOT!!
We stock the Red and Blue
thread lock.
(Actual threadlock supplied may differ from items
shown here)
|
Red
is the strongest and if applied correctly, it requires about 250+ degree heat to loosen. We have had success using
a hair dryer for this purpose when disassembling. A paint
stripping
heat gun could also be used,
BUT
great care must be exercised so you DO NOT DAMAGE paint
in the same area, as these guns can get to 900 degrees
and more. |
| Blue
is for frequently disassembled parts and only requires normal tools and a little extra pressure to loosen. Often
though oil and water can degrade the locking strength a little and that's why we also offer the Red
as it has a much stronger grip, but requires more effort to remove it when you need to. |

PLEASE NOTE
THE HEEL-TOE SHIFTER CANNOT BE USED WITH OUR GEARSHIFT EXTENDER INSTALLED. If you are currently using our gearshift extender, it
will have to be removed before fitting the Heel-Toe.
WHY? The Heel-toe shifter requires
the stock Honda gearshift mounting point and the gearshift extender moves that mounting point forward by an inch
or an inch-and-a-half. Click
here for the Gearshift Extender page |
| |
|
| |
IT CAN BE USED WITH OUR FOOTPEG EXTENDERS
(click
here for the Footpeg Extenders page)
but
We have had some reports of our Heel-Toe NOT
working with OTHER BRAND footpeg extenders.
