Tachometer & Speedometer
Fork Tube Mount

This mount is specifically designed to work with 39mm diameter fork tubes and the Mini-Tachometer and Mini-Speedometer sold by many different vendors. Click here to see the physical dimensions for both Tacho and Speedo.

Please NOTE:
The installation of this mount requires that the bike is lifted with a bike-lift, the forks are then loosened in the triple trees and the fork tubes slid down about 2". The mount then slips over the top of the fork tubes. The mount can also be installed below the lower tree providing it's final position does not interfere with the fork suspension travel.

This is the Y-Bracket mount that allows the use of the Y-Bracket supplied with the gauge. The mount can be positioned in any rotational spot and the Y-Bracket can also be rotated around the holding bolt to give the correct position. There is a set screw on the inner edge to lock the mount in position on the fork tube.

NOTE: The set screw will slightly mark the surface of the fork tube.

This view shows the bare gauge mount on the fork tube. It can be used to mount anything that will mate up with the M8 clearance hole in the end.

NOTE: The set screw will slightly mark the surface of the fork tube.

Another view of the angled Y-bracket to get the tachometer in this instance, into exactly the right spot. This is the prototype and an Acorn nut is shown. The production version will have a Stainless Steel button head socket cap screw, nut and lock washer.

NOTE: The set screw will slightly mark the surface of the fork tube.

Good Vibrations...

These bikes vibrate really freely so a thread lock agent is not a luxury, it should be mandatory every time you assemble things on any Motorcycle.

This bottle will last for a long time considering it only takes a drop on the threads to make it stick. We can't tell you how many drops there are in the bottle, but it MUST be a LOT!!

We stock the Red and Blue thread lock.
(Actual threadlock supplied may differ from items shown here)

Red is the strongest and if applied correctly, it requires about 250+ degree heat to loosen. We have had success using a hair dryer for this purpose when disassembling. A paint stripping heat gun could also be used,
BUT great care must be exercised so you DO NOT DAMAGE paint
in the same area, as these guns can get to
900 degrees and more.
Blue is for frequently disassembled parts and only requires normal tools and a little extra pressure to loosen. Often though oil and water can degrade the locking strength a little and that's why we also offer the Red as it has a much stronger grip, but requires more effort to remove it when you need to.
