A constant question we have been asked by taller riders, is "can you make some foot peg extenders as I am cramped in the stock
position?"
Ask and ye shall receive.
A direct bolt-on, it moves the footpegs 3" further forward. It is a straight bolt-on addition, so if you can
manage a wrench or two, then this will be a snap for you.
OK, so you are not tall, and think these might not be for you? Guess again, even a 5'-6" rider liked them and it gave that "chopper"
look and feel with the pushed forward feet position. For shorter
riders though, we believe the Heel-toe (click
here for more information) will be a mandatory accessory with
the extenders as it is difficult for the "shorties" to get a toe under the shifter peg with legs pushed
forward.
THESE FOOT PEG EXTENDERS ARE DESIGNED FOR USE
BY A SEATED RIDER OR OPERATOR ONLY! DO NOT STAND UP ON THE FOOT PEGS!

Put the peg extensions on my VLX last night. Very
COOL. |

These are no flimsy little brackets, aircraft-grade aluminum
and stainless steel, the parts are CNC-machined from billet.
We take our engineering seriously here.We have seen some extenders that frankly scare us to think about, they are
made from a piddling 1/4" material.
We strive for a no-compromise approach for all of our products. The large special socket cap screws for instance
have to be made in-house because Honda chose to use an uncommon fine Metric thread on the mounting points
of the frame.
We have been unable to find them anywhere in the World,
so we machine them ourselves. Sure it costs more but quality does cost more.
We want our products to look good on YOUR ride,
then we look good too.
We could have used Zinc-plated hex head but this
stuff is about looking good as well as function so it's stainless or nothing.
Naturally we provide all of the detailed instructions to get this
installed right the first time. |

How will I know how they feel before I spring for the bucks??
Sit on the bike and lightly rest your instep on the gearshift pedal. That's
about 3" forward of the stock foot peg position. That's pretty much where the foot peg will be with the extenders
installed. |

Good Vibrations...
|
|
These bikes vibrate really freely so a thread lock agent
is not a luxury, it should be mandatory every time you assemble things on any Motorcycle.
This bottle will last for a long time considering it only
takes a drop on the threads to make it stick. We can't tell you how many drops there are in the bottle, but it
MUST be a LOT!!
We stock the Red and Blue
thread lock.
(Actual threadlock supplied may differ from items
shown here)
|
Red
is the strongest and if applied correctly, it requires about 250+ degree heat to loosen. We have had success using
a hair dryer for this purpose when disassembling. A paint
stripping
heat gun could also be used,
BUT
great care must be exercised so you DO NOT DAMAGE paint
in the same area, as these guns can get to 900 degrees
and more. |
| Blue
is for frequently disassembled parts and only requires normal tools and a little extra pressure to loosen. Often
though oil and water can degrade the locking strength a little and that's why we also offer the Red
as it has a much stronger grip, but requires more effort to remove it when you need to. |

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING |
| |
In line with our no surprises policy,
here are some things to consider before ordering the BC version. To keep the overall price reasonable, we use off-the
shelf parts where possible.
The Rod-End in the above picture is not chromed, but when installed it is barely visible so should not present
too much of an issue.
The chromed dome-nut and the rod-end threads are 5/16-24 SAE. We have not been able to find a reasonable-priced
version with Metric threads and we apologize for that. Far better to have a couple of SAE threads than add another
$37 just for the Metric rod-end. |
